I fried mine with chopped onion. Delicious!
1 block extra firm tofu
2-3 tablespoons sesame seeds
soy sauce to taste
lemon juice to taste
1-2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking (or veggie oil)
vegan worcestershire sauce to taste, any spices to taste (optional)
toasted sesame oil (optional)
First, drain and cut the tofu into bite-size chunks. Heat oil in a medium/large frying pan and add tofu. Add soy sauce and lemon juice, and any other spices you'd like. I like to add a couple drops of toasted sesame oil, as well.
Fry the tofu until all sides are browned and a little crispy, adding more soy sauce if/when needed. When tofu is just about done, sprinkle sesame seeds on it, and continue cooking until done. The sesame seeds should stick to the tofu (for the most part, not all of them do). Serve as is, or piled on top of some rice or with veggies.
